The Sea Vista Coalition for HOA Board Accountability (the “Coalition”) is an independent, voluntary association of Sea Vista condominium owners. The Coalition is not the Sea Vista Association, its Board of Directors, its management company, or its agent, and it does not speak for any of them. It is not affiliated with, sponsored by, or endorsed by the Association or its Board. All views expressed are those of the participating owners who publish them.
This site addresses the governance, finances, insurance, engineering condition, and management of a common-interest community — matters of legitimate and substantial public concern to the owners who fund, insure, and live in the building. Any reference to a person is made solely in that person’s capacity as a current or former Association director, officer, employee, agent, or vendor, and solely in connection with the official conduct of Association affairs. Nothing here concerns any individual’s private life.
Much of the content is opinion, analysis, characterization, and commentary. Those statements represent the authors’ good-faith opinions based on the facts and documents disclosed and cited alongside them. Reasonable people may draw different conclusions from the same record, and readers are encouraged to review the underlying documents and reach their own conclusions.
Factual statements are drawn from the Association’s own records, engineering reports, reserve studies, audits, meeting minutes, correspondence, public filings, and similar materials believed to be accurate and on file. The Coalition makes reasonable efforts to be accurate, publishes in good faith, and does not act with knowledge of falsity or reckless disregard for the truth. Estimates, projections, valuations, and damages figures are working estimates for discussion — not findings of fact, appraisals, audits, or legal conclusions — and are subject to change.

Civ. Prac. & Rem. Code ch. 27, for the exercise of the rights of free speech and association on matters of public concern.
